DALE CARNEGIE CELEBRATES CENTENARY OF ACHIEVEMENTS

Dale Carnegie’s Northern England team has celebrated its 100 year anniversary by honouring a key client.

Robert Forrester, CEO of Vertu Motors, received the Dale Carnegie Leadership Award in front of the organisations’ Northern alumni.

The award was presented by David Fagiano, Chief Operating Officer for Dale Carnegie and Associates.  Juliette Dennett, managing director of Dale Carnegie Northern England, said: “This year has been a momentous one for Dale Carnegie and we wanted to celebrate the success of Vertu Motors by presenting Robert with the award, which is for outstanding business leaders where exceptional results have been achieved through exemplary leadership.  In the past five years the only other recipients in the UK of this award have been the Plant Director of Vauxhall Motors at Ellesmere Port and the CEO of Odeon Cinemas.”

Dale Carnegie has worked with Vertu Motors for the last four years, supporting Vertu’s training and development strategy for senior personnel, delivering leadership development and management development.

Robert Forrester said: “As Vertu Motors we’ve been working with Dale Carnegie for a number of years in order to ensure that we build the right culture within our fast-growing group.  Together we develop and deliver training programmes that enable our Managers to deliver outstanding result. We strive to deliver extraordinary service to our customers and Dale Carnegie help us do this through the use of the principles set out in the original book.

“I’m delighted to receive this Leadership Award on behalf of the Group from Dale Carnegie - an organisation I very much admire and who share many of the same principles and values as Vertu Motors.”

Vertu Motors plc is the ninth largest automotive retailer in the UK. Founded in late 2006 by Robert Forrester, the group acquired the Bristol Street Motors business in March 2007.  The company has grown year-on-year and now owns 88 dealerships across the UK selling and servicing many of the big name brands in the motor industry, including Ford, Vauxhall, Renault, Nissan and Honda.
