Communicating With Apps

Almost 50million apps are downloaded every day - they’re not all Peppa Pig. Does your organisation use an app to keep in touch with customers, partners and stakeholders, or is the app development world a mystery?

Either way, this event is a chance to find out more about how apps are being used to communicate with people across the globe on a daily basis and how one could work for your organisation.

Jason Yip from NewcastleGateshead Initiative and Michael Dunn, the man behind apps for The Disney Store, The BBC and others will be sharing their experiences, giving some top tips on using apps as part of integrated PR campaigns and looking ahead to see how people will be communicating on the move in the future.

Jason Yip is Digital Marketing Developer at NewcastleGateshead Initiative. He has commissioned and managed the development of apps and mobile friendly websites for different organisations including One North East and NewcastleGateshead Initiative (NGI).

Michael Dunn is Technical Director of Gateshead based app designers and developers Gospelware. As well as The Disney Store and The BBC, he has worked with CSL Sofas, Cravens and many others to produce apps and other mobile devices. This event is open to CIPR members (£10) and non-members (£20).

Entrance fee covers the cost of a Salsa Cafe buffet and the first drink.

Places are limited so book early to confirm your place.
