ABCurry Club
The hugely popular ABCurry Club event returns on Thursday 24th May 2012 at 6pm.
Our next event is even more exciting as we focus on the Olympics 2012 and Excelling in Education - Excelsior Style. We will hear from a key supporter and Shadow Minister - Catherine McKinnell MP, Director of Olympics 2012 - Stephen Savage, Councillor Dipu Ahad and McDonalds Franchisee Ahmed Khan. Martin Farrar, Lynn Aitchison and Philomena Marshall will share with us the Academy’s inspirational story and how they are working with ABC to secure a positive future for the students, which is just one of the innovative initiatives the school is leading on. We will also be entertained by some splendid students showcasing their performing arts.
This is a unique opportunity to engage with some of the most prominent and influential people in the North East. All joined by members of the Asian and wider business community, with one common vision – to Connect, Support and Promote one another.
ABCurry Club is an informal yet informative social networking event, which is always oversubscribed. Previous Curry Clubs have heard from the likes of Hari Shukla ABC Patron, Roy Stanley Chair of BENE and Tanfield Group, Paul Callaghan Chair of ONE, Catherine McKinnell MP, Dave Anderson MP, Chi Onwurah MP, Councillors Nick Forbes and David Faulkner, Alastair MacColl – Chief Executive of Business and Enterprise Group, including prominent community and business leaders. We have worked with various organisations to make a truly positive economic impact, and these events help us to celebrate and share these innovative initiatives.
The Excelsior Academy’s creative catering team will be delighting you with a delicious Indian finger buffet. The food prepared and served in house is a must try, and will leave you questioning how school meals have progressed to such a la carte standard, especially in serving authentic mouth-watering Punjabi food.
As usual tickets are priced at only £10 with a proportion going to Charlie Bear for Cancer Care Charity. We will be hearing from the Charlie Bear team on the evening about their exciting Cyber Surgery Appeal which ABC is proud to be supporting.
Kindly confirm by return the number of tickets you require, as they won’t be available for very long.
