Defectivity Process Engineer
THE ROLE
The Visual Defectivity Engineer role within the Process Engineering team will see the ideal candidate providing support to both Production and Technology Development within the Client’s company. The responsibilities for the role are summarised as thus:
- To drive improvement activities to reduce visual defects in FEOL and BEOL
- Establish and manage the FEOL and BEOL inspection systems
- React to abnormal events and coordinate containment and countermeasure activities
- Contribute to overall yield enhancement projects across multi-functional teams
- Develop systems to aid data analysis and wafer disposition
- Provide engineering support for existing production products and technologies
- Specify improvements to systems (SAS, MES, SPC) and assist in their introduction
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree in Physical Science or Engineering
- Strong analytical and problem solving ability. Appreciation of both practical and theoretical methodologies
- Knowledge of scientific experimentation techniques
- An understanding of statistics
- Knowledge of Regression analysis, confidence testing, ANOVA, DOE, SPC
- Evidence of DOE, FMEA application
- Awareness of budget control
- Knowledge of semiconductor physics and transistor theory
- GaAs device and phemt knowledge
- Insight into AOI systems and set up
- Excellent communication skills
- Be decisive, accurate, creative and forward thinking
- Have hands on experience of processing wafers

SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Salary negotiable depending upon experience
HOURS OF WORK AND TYPE OF CONTRACT
- Full time regular hours
- Permanent contract
- Applicant will need to be flexible in working hours to suit business needs and may need to work outside normal office hours
