Secondment Opportunity
A secondment opportunity has arisen within Entrust’s Funds and Investment Team for a financial adviser to cover a period of maternity leave.
Entrust is a keen supporter of the opportunities that secondment can bring to all parties. By its very nature, secondment can provide a rich base of experience - working in a different environment with a whole range of diverse clients, the secondee is taken into new areas of work. It also brings fresh thinking, up to the minute ideas, and a different outlook and approach to Entrust. And when the individual returns to their organisation they take with them a wealth of new skills, new networks, and new contacts.
The opportunity currently available will encompass delivery of our regional flagship event, Investor Forum, and the day-to-day management of the investments in our North East Equity Matching portfolio.
Investor Forum is the region’s foremost Business Angel Network. Presentation evenings take place 5-6 times each year. You will responsible for sourcing and supporting the four or five companies which “pitch” at the events ensuring that they have viable angel investment propositions and that they are supported to present their proposals professionally and compellingly.
Companies in our North East Equity Matching Fundhave benefited from matched investment from the Fund and private investors / business angels. Investees are at varying stages in their growth trajectories with Entrust providing support and input at a level commensurate to their needs and which ranges from being on hand to provide advice and guidance, to attendance at Board meetings when required.
We believe the scope of work available with this secondment is wide-ranging, challenging, and varied, and whilst a corporate finance background would be valuable it is not essential as an early appointment will enable us to provide “on the job” direction and development.
This is a paid secondment opportunity (circa £30,000 per annum pro rata dependent upon experience) and is available from August 2012 (or earlier) to June 2013.
