THE ROLE 

The role of Research and Development Engineer requires excellent analytical skills.  The successful candidate will help to understand, at the deepest level, the most critical aspects of machine and the mechanical processes involved in its operation.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS 

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong ability in mathematics, computational simulation and engineering calculations.

You will be flexible, have good communication skills and a natural engineering intuition.  You will work well to time scales both individually and within a team.  You will have an aptitude for problem solving and experimentation, working with cutting equipment in our modern and well resourced design office and test workshops.

A good working knowledge of 3D CAD (ProEngineer), Mathematical simulation (MatLab), Structural FEA, CFD and motion analysis tools would be advantageous.

Must be educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Physics.

You must be willing to travel both in the UK and Europe.

SALARY AND BENEFITS 

• Salary is £22-28000 Per annum dependent on Experience
• 35 days holiday per year plus stats
• Pension and life assurance

HOURS OF WORK AND TYPE OF CONTRACT 

• Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm and 8.30am – 3.30pm on a Friday
• Permanent Contract
