THE ROLE

Our client, based in Peterlee, is a world class product development company who are committed to excellence in design, manufacture and export internationally.  They are currently recruiting  for an experienced Production Engineer.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

It is desirable that the successful applicant will posses the following:

• Experience in high volume, high quality manufacturing within the automotive industry
• Qualified to HNC/Degree level in an engineering based course and/or completed a full engineering apprenticeship
• Extremely desirable to have experience in the following: machine/assembly fixture design, CNC Machining ,welding processes, PLC controls and assembly processes
• Knowledge of productivity improvements, Kaizen activities etc and been able to identify robust countermeasures to customer and internal quality concerns
• New product introduction, engineering change, lean quality techniques, SPC etc
• Innovative, developing new ideas and seeing them through to a capable manufacturing process
• Will have the ability to communicate well at all levels within the organisation and is a team player
