Tender opportunity: Sales Training

You are invited to submit a proposal to provide training to the sales oriented staff of software companies based in the North East of England over the next 20 months.

Sunderland Software City (SSC) is a publicly funded, privately led initiative which has the remit of encouraging economic development through provision of support to North East based software companies.

By supporting software companies to start and grow the North East can build on its reputation as a home to innovation and provide career opportunities for today’s and tomorrow’s generations.

The Sunderland Software City (phase 2) project is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), managed by the Department for Communities and Local Government.

The Course

The delivery requirements for this work are the provision of a training course which meets the following criteria:

- Suitably focused towards the needs of software sales people operating in a global environment;

- Is directly relevant to ongoing activity of the sales people, i.e. will allow recent and current case studies to be used

- Will provide an ongoing plan and self-assessment tool for the individual to maintain as part of their continued

professional development

The training must involve direct contact on a one-to-one or one-to-many situation (please articulate in the tender response the chosen methodology) but provide adequate content to meet the requirement of individual businesses, i.e. tailored plans as opposed to generic lectures. In total it is expected each participant on the course will have contact time of at least 12 hours.
