Our client, a international multidisciplinary consultancy, are urgently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Bedfordshire.   You will undertake Geotechnical work, primarily in the Rail and Highways sectors, but also offering geotechnical assistance to several other UK offices, dealing with a diverse range of geotechnical problems including, residential property, commercial and industrial development and some environmental schemes.

Your duties will initially include the detailed design of remedial works for embankments and cuttings on Network Rail LNE and Southern Regions and assist with any highway schemes won on the HA PSF2 Framework. You will also have the chance to manage projects and maintain relationships with clients, and you will also write both factual and interpretative reports. You will be required to travel overseas.
  To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and experience: - BEng is essential, and MSc in Geotechnical Engineering is advantageous - Chartered or near chartered status - 5+ years of relevant commercial experience -  Knowledge of Network Rail and Highways Agency Standards and Specifications - PTS, IWA or other rail safety qualification would be an advantage
