Advanced Business Solutions is honoured with Green Hero award for HR Self-service solution
10 July 2012 – Advanced Business Solutions (Advanced), a market leading business applications and services provider has scooped an International Green Hero Award in recognition of the environmental benefits of its Human Resource (HR) Self-service solution. Trevor Baylis OBE, the inventor of the windup radio presented Advanced with the award at East Wintergarden, Canary Warf, London, on 25 June 2012. This is the third successive year that Advanced has won a Green Hero award.
The Green Hero Awards are run by UK independent environment group, The Green Organisation, and are presented annually to organisations which have shown exceptional green credentials and that have been identified as environmental leaders in their field.
The HR Self-service solution makes full use of web technology, enabling forward-thinking HR departments to go beyond the traditional models of the HR practice and provide managers and staff with a single point of access to vital information.
Simon Fowler, Managing Director, Advanced Business Solutions says, “We‘re incredibly proud to have been presented with a Green Hero award in recognition of our software’s business and environmental benefits.”
“Our HR Self-Service solution has enabled paper-heavy HR and payroll administration to be replaced with a web-based solution. This not only reduces the destruction of trees but also helps organisations reduce carbon emissions by cutting the use of printers, photocopiers and postal delivery vans.”
HR Self-service is a convenient and cost effective way to share information and decentralise HR practices. This dynamic information flow allows HR to streamline processes, freeing up valuable time, whilst increasing employee productivity and improving communication across the organisation.
Hundreds of HR and Payroll departments across the UK are using Advanced’s HR Self-service solution and have reported that they are seeing increased efficiencies and environmental benefits as a result.
Advanced is consistently honoured for its positive contributions to the environment and recently won a Green IT Award for its Carbon Accounting system. The system integrates with Advanced’s financial management system and enables businesses to measure carbon emissions quickly and easily.
