At Teesside University, we understand the positive impact of great leadership, which is why we have worked with employers to develop the prestigious Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA).
Enrolling now for May 2017, the apprenticeship awards learners the BA (Hons) Management Practice along with membership of the Chartered Management Institute – the highest possible accreditation in the management profession.
The CMDA is open to both aspiring and existing managers. Apprentices gain technical knowledge and practical experience by combining on-the-job training with flexible study towards a higher education qualification.

What are higher and degree apprenticeships?
Higher and degree apprenticeships are a government initiative aimed at helping employers develop the talent and skills of new and existing staff, in the workplace. They combine on-the-job training with study for a higher education qualification. It means employees study whilst they are working - and there is no age restriction.

Apprenticeship Levy – how will it affect your business?
From 6 April 2017, government funding for apprenticeships in England is changing. Employers with an annual wage bill of over £3m will contribute to a levy, and can access payments for apprenticeships through a digital account. Non-levy payers will get a 90% contribution to the cost of apprenticeship training and assessment.
