Como partners with pointOne to future proof high street food establishments

London April 10: Como, the award winning global leader in customer engagement, has today announced a new strategic partnership with pointOne, one of the UK’s leading Electronic Point of Sale technology companies. The collaboration aims to provide data-driven tools for retailers and restaurants by extending the capabilities of pointOne’s EPoS, via the flagship Como Sense product.

Como and pointOne, whose clients include, El Mexicana, Coffee Republic, Tossed & Mosaic Pub Company, will enable bricks and mortar businesses to adapt technologies usually used by online giants to better know their customers and offer them personalised experiences. By combining innovative point of sale solutions that pointOne provides with Como’s data-driven and personalisation tools, restaurants will be able to focus on processing orders quickly and easily grow customers visits and spend.

The agreement with pointOne is part of Como’s strategy to strengthen the collaboration with EPoS companies allowing them to become full-service providers and improving their value proposition for businesses across the UK. This is done by helping businesses run their operation more efficiently, offer the best customer experience and grow their revenue.

Dan Cohen, UK Managing Director at Como, said: “The rise of technology has changed the way that customers interact within businesses. Personalisation has more effect on the customer experience than ever, while the most important currency for businesses is the data on their customer’s behavior

“By partnering with pointOne we are able to help manage and reward customers and ensure that the interaction with tech is as simple and effective as possible, whilst ensuring the futures of these businesses that form the backbone of our high streets.”

Steven Rolfe, Managing Director, at pointOne, added: “The high street restaurant market is a hugely competitive environment and we are seeing a number of big-name restaurants closing down every week.

“The partnership with Como position us at the forefront of technology. It allows us to provide an end-to-end solution to our customers and to help them strive in the hugely competitive high street environment. For restaurants to be competitive it is essential that they not only understand their customers but are able to utilise data to offer bespoke offers.”
