Carter Jonas successfully lets Swindon industrial site to Berkshire logistics group

Carter Jonas has let 13,953 sq ft of industrial accommodation at the Scorpio Building in Blagrove near Swindon in Wiltshire.

The national property consultancy, acting with joint agents WBM Commercial Property on behalf of Pin Investment, has let the buildin on a five-year lease to Swift Logistics Group.

The Scorpio Building, a self-contained site consisting of a steel frame construction single storey industrial unit, has multiple loading doors and could serve as a storage and distribution hub for Swift Logistics Group.

Alison Williams, associate partner at Carter Jonas, said: “Buildings located in such close proximity to motorway junctions are always popular with logistics operators and the Scorpio Building is no exception to this rule.

“Mid box units of this configuration are consistently in demand and always let well due to the ongoing stock shortage.”

The Scorpio Building is situated on Franklands Road in Blagrove near Swindon, the main commercial centre for Wiltshire.

It is supposedly well connected by road to other business hubs approximately 30 miles south west of Oxford, 40 miles east of Bristol, 47 miles west of Reading and 80 miles west of London.
