Musa Ozgul, Doyle Collection

Hospitality group the Doyle Collection has appointed Musa Ozgul as bar manager of The Marylebone’s 108 Bar.

Musa has almost a decade of experience working in and managing bars, members clubs and restaurants in central London.

Beginning his career in 2010 as head commis waiter at Soho restaurant Quo Vadis, Musa worked his way through the ranks, eventually taking up the position of bar manager in 2014.

In 2016, Musa joined the team at Chess Club before leading the team at TRADE as assistant general manager from 2018 onwards.

Commenting on his appointment, Musa said: “I’m thrilled to have joined the fantastic 108 Bar and to be working in such a well-loved establishment.

“I’m looking forward to continue to secure 108 as a top drinking destination in London.”

Mark Knowlton, Openwork

Financial advice network Openwork has appointed Mark Knowlton as chief operating officer.

Mark joins Openwork from technology provider GBST, a global supplier of financial services to retail wealth management and capital banking services.

Mark brings more than 20 years of digital technology and operational leadership experience, including six years at Macquarie Bank in Australia, eight years as chief information officer for AXA UK and senior roles at KPMG Management Consulting and CSC.

Openwork’s chief executive Mark Duckworth commented: “We are delighted that Mark has joined our team as chief operating officer.

His vast experience of digital technology and operational management will be fundamental to our long-term success and I am thrilled to have found someone of his calibre to lead the team.“

Commenting on his appointment, Mark Knowlton added “I am delighted to be joining Openwork at such an exciting time for the business and look forward to working with colleagues across the Openwork network to support its growth and development.

Giles Newman, NAVEX Global

Risk and compliance software and services company NAVEX Global has appointed Giles Newman as EMEA managing director.

Giles, who will be based in London, brings nearly 30 years of technology and global expansion experience to the company’s EMEA operations.

In his new role Giles will be responsible for ensuring the smooth integration of NAVEX Global with its newest acquisition, whistleblowing hotline service provider Expolink.

In addition Giles will lead the management of the increased responsibilities of the firm’s growing customer base as it expands across the UK and EU.

Commenting on his appointment, Giles said: “A big part of managing risk is ensuring business practices are compliant with new regulations.”

“New and pending legislation across the EMEA region make it all the more important for customers to work with a trusted solution partner to help address this increased regulatory scrutiny.”
