Bdaily Insider Behind-the-scenes blog from the team at Bdaily.

Off to pastures new

by Miranda Dobson

Exactly a year since I started as a journalist with Bdaily, today is sadly my last day at the company. As many readers will know from my previous Bdaily Insider blogs, I was the first journalist to venture out of Bdaily’s starting place in the North East, and I’ve been heading up the North West news for the past six months.

I’m extremely proud of the work I’ve done with Bdaily, and I have learnt a ridiculous amount, not only about the businesses that I have covered in the news, but about being part of a growing company and developing my own skills. This is largely down to the people I have worked alongside, both at Bdaily and Ground Six, and those I have met in the North West and North East.

Moving to take charge of the North West news was a really exciting challenge, and I think the progress Bdaily has made in this region will only continue to grow, and hopefully will be replicated across all regions in the UK.

Going on to pastures new, I’ll be moving to Scotland in the next few weeks to start a Masters in Literature at the University of Edinburgh. I fully intend to return to journalism after I have finished the course and I have plans to put my literary knowledge together with my journalistic experience in the future.

I want to say a huge thank you to all my co-workers for the fantastic opportunity that has been working for Bdaily. I’ve loved the past 12 months working with such an enthusiastic and forward thinking team, where I’ve gained invaluable experience.

Furthermore I hope Bdaily readers have enjoyed the news, advice and opinion that I’ve provided, and that everyone who has added to our content will continue to do so.
