Supply Chain North East Launch

A new, multi-million pound programme is being launched to help North East businesses grow, diversify and unlock new market opportunities.

Supply Chain North East will provide businesses with tailored, specialist advice in areas including sales and marketing, digital transformation, accreditation and compliance. Market specialists will be on hand to provide industry insight and sector knowledge on UK and international supply chains.

Where is the event?

The Crowne Plaza located in Newcastle city centre’s Stephenson Quarter.

Businesses that meet the following criteria are invited to attend:

Based in the North East LEP area (Sunderland, Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Northumberland) and are in the following sectors:

  • Advanced manufacturing
  • Subsea, offshore and energy technologies
  • Automotive and transport
  • Health and life sciences
  • Digital, tech and creative
  • Process, chemical and pharmaceutical

An integral part of the North East Growth Hub, Supply Chain North East will see four key partners, RTC North, Generator, North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) and North East Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC), join forces to work with over 800 businesses between 2018 - 2021.

Following the launch of the Supply Chain programme, at 10am till 11am, there will be a chance to see a presentation of an Innovation Challenge that has been set by a regional automotive manufacturer. They are looking for digital solutions to a manufacturing issue, and are keen to engage with local companies who may be able to develop a solution. *

  • This challenge is part of a wider European funded programme which encourages companies to collaborate with other partners to develop innovative products, so there are ten EURO5000 vouchers available to support the best proposals.
