Posted by on 11 Jan 2017

Newcastle-headquartered recruitment consultancy Nigel Wright Group has revealed considerable increases in both its turnover and profits.

For the year ended 30th April 2016, the business grew its turnover by 9% to £16.6m whilst gross profit rose 8% to £12m.

The company also opened two more offices, based in Gothenburg and Teesside, as well as reestablishing its Amsterdam office.

Paul Wilson, CEO, who joined the group in January 2014 has overseen the turnaround of the group.

He commented: “The results reflect the hard work and commitment of the management team and all the employees here at Nigel Wright.

“We continued to gain market share and develop relationships with SMEs, Private Equity backed businesses and multinational corporations, as well as preserving long standing connections with companies in the North East from where our origins began.“

“In addition to the new offices, we broke various internal records during the year. We now employ nearly 140 people across Europe, the greatest number of consultants in our history, had the highest number of new starters last year and are placing candidates in more territories than ever before. A testament to the dedication of all our people through the year.“

Paul added: “We are well positioned for the future, our brand has an excellent, worldwide reputation and we are determined to build and develop our company and employees for the longer term.“
