Dream win for North East marketing agency
A North East marketing agency has fought off tough competition to secure a national contract worth £25m per year. The media planning and buying team at Robson Brown has been reappointed by bed specialists Dreams for a further three years. Robson Brown believes the account win is the largest single piece of business ever secured by a North East marketing agency – and one of the largest account wins anywhere in the UK this year. To secure the account, the Newcastle-based agency faced a competitive pitch against two agencies widely regarded as the UK’s biggest and best media specialists. Andrew Marwick, Robson Brown’s managing director, said: “This is a fantastic win for the region and displays the skill and ability available right here on the doorstep. It demonstrates that, when it comes to a range of marketing services, North East companies can compete with the very best. “We have spent a great deal of time restructuring the business to make us more entrepreneurial, creative and flexible and this shone through in the pitch. Dreams has always been one of our most prestigious accounts and we’re delighted to have extended the contract by another three years.”
