Newcastle restaurant short listed for top award

A Newcastle restaurant has been short listed for a prestigious hospitality award. Black Door on Clayton Street in Newcastle has been nominated for the ‘best restaurant’ category in the Northern Hospitality Awards which take place in Manchester on Monday 26 March.

The Northern Hospitality Awards is the only trade ceremony for the North of England and was created to celebrate the flourishing hospitality industry in the area. Black Door restaurant is the only establishment in Newcastle to be involved with the awards and has been nominated in a category that was won last year by celebrated Leeds restaurant Anthony’s.

Owner David Ladd said: “We are really pleased to be nominated for this award. Black Door prides itself on offering top quality service and hospitality alongside the award-winning menu. It is great to have this recognition for Northern establishments as the hospitality industry up here is going from strength to strength.”

The awards ceremony will take place at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester on Monday 26 March. For more information about Black Door visit www.blackdoorgroup.co.uk.
