bgroup gives entrepreneurs the tools to talk

North East creative agency bgroup has developed a new online social network for the North East Entrepreneurs Forum, www.ifwecanyoucantalk.co.uk. The site, part of a region-wide campaign to inspire people interested in setting up their own business, will provide young people with an informal new networking platform to speak to like-minded people interested in entrepreneurship.

One of only a small number of social networking sites dedicated to business entrepreneurship, www.ifwecanyoucantalk.co.uk is a resource for people in the North East who might be starting to consider what a business start-up involves or have a passing interest but are unsure of the next steps needed to put their ideas into action.

bgroup utilised the informality of social networking to create a platform for individuals requiring a different kind of online communication tool. The social network offers users their first step into the wider community of entrepreneurs, who have been there, done it and can provide feedback on the ups, downs and exhilaration of starting a business.

Registered users can also take advantage of other tools available on the site - regularly updated blogs, events and video interviews with business figures and entrepreneurs.

Oli Wood, Head of Digital at bgroup said: “Accessing and using social networking sites is now a daily activity for many internet users, particularly younger people. To successfully communicate with younger audiences, we wanted to harness those users who have an interest in business and would benefit from peer to peer communication to build confidence and knowledge in a casual environment.

“We are confident that www.ifwecanyoucantalk.co.uk will encourage budding entrepreneurs and young people within the region to use each other as a resource, from getting ideas rolling to fanning the fire of their interest in business.”
