Times are changing at Twenty First

North East-based digital communications company Twenty First Century Media has expanded again, adding eight more to the team at its Newcastle headquarters with more new recruits being sought for early 2009.

The digital video production company, which has acquired by media group Ten Alps Plc in July this year, has seen an increase in demand for multi-platform video production both within the region and across the UK as a whole.

Managing Director Sam Morton said: “Changes in platform technology and customer demand mean that people don’t just want a video anymore – they want an effective and often complex piece of communication tailored specifically for a variety of platforms, and that means we need to have all the relevant skills in house if we want to really compete.”

This increased demand has meant that Twenty First Century Media has to respond quickly, bringing in new talent in all areas of production and post production and designing ‘entry level’ budget video packages that allow them to continue being competitive as the market grows.

“We have bought in skills across the board so that we can increase the traditional corporate and TV ad work that we have been steadily growing over the last 5 years, but crucially we can remain at the cutting edge of technology; producing virals, online ads, online ads and web-tv content all from our main headquarters here in the North East and all with our own trained team.”

Since July, Twenty First Century Media has won a range of national contracts producing training films for the NHS and the National Medical Association and producing web TV content for clients including Emap and Optometry TV.

Sam said: “The deal with Ten Alps is already providing us with greater scope to further expand our business this year and beyond, and it gives us the platform from which to become a leader in the UK digital Media.”
