Signature Success for Marketing Campaign
Marketing firm Adessi is helping to highlight the growing importance of deaf communications with a new contract win.
Working with Signature, an organisation which promotes excellence in communication with deaf and deafblind people, Adessi has constructed a targeted campaign to publicise the organisation’s annual awards programme.
Statistics suggest that one in seven people is affected by some degree of hearing loss, meaning promotion of a better understanding of cultures between deaf and hearing people is an extremely important undertaking.
The Signature Annual Awards recognise the dedication and significant contribution which individuals and organisations have shown towards achieving a society in which deaf and deafblind people have full access.
Thanks to its expertise in executing long-term publicity campaigns, Adessi was selected by the qualification provider to develop a publicity campaign for the awards, from nominations and shortlists through to the final presentation ceremony in November.
Jim Edwards, Chief Executive at Signature, said: “Adessi has done an excellent job of raising awareness of the awards.
“A wider understanding of deaf communication and British Sign Language creates better links between those affected by hearing loss and others. It also gives people the opportunity to experience the richness of deaf culture and is also an extremely enjoyable learning experience.”
Mark Carton, Managing Director at Adessi, said: “Signature does outstanding work to support deaf people in gaining better access, as well as educating people to understand and improve the communication issues faced by deaf people.
“We were very keen to provide support with this and devised a strategic campaign to raise awareness at a regional and specialist level, the aim of which was to drive nominations up and make the Signature Annual Awards an event synonymous with excellence in deaf and deafblind communication.”
Adessi is a full service marketing agency based in the Ouseburn area of Newcastle, offering expertise in areas such as strategy and branding, PR, design, media-buying, advertising, ebusiness, telemarketing and events management.
