Member News: Helping Halmstad
Peacock Carter, the North East web design agency, is pleased to have secured the University of Halmstad, in Sweden, as a client.
Searching for a consultant who would be able to help the university transfer one of their professor’s research notes, stored on a wiki - software which allows collaborative editing online - the university’s IT department found Peacock Carter Ltd and was suitably impressed by their expertise and existing client base. MediaWiki, the software the client wished to update to, powers the well known online encyclopaedia Wikipedia, and is used by companies large and small, including Adobe, the international software company, and Intel, the multinational computer hardware organisation.
Richard Carter, Creative Director at Peacock Carter Ltd, is a specialist in the field, being an author on the topic of MediaWiki, and has helped clients including Directgov, NHS Choices and University College Dublin with their wikis previously.
