Does your business have bank holiday blues?

A wet and windy bank holiday Monday may have put a dampener on spirits, however is the extra day off as bad for business as it is popularly perceived?

Although bad weather conditions this summer and extra bank holidays that employees have enjoyed took the blame for slumps in business, the tourist industry in the UK could in fact benefit from the rainy holidays.

A survey from VisitEngland showed that 3.6 million people were planning an overnight trip within the UK this bank holiday, suggesting that tourism has not been damaged by the British weather.

A newly rejuvenated workforce coming back to work on Tuesday is another benefit to employers in other sectors as well, after staff have enjoyed an extra day of rest.
