North East Company Counts On New Appointment
Sunderland’s leading independent builders’ merchants has appointed one of the city’s largest accountancy firms to look after its financial affairs.
RSM Tenon has successfully won a tender from Thompson Building Centres to act as independent auditors for the company.
“It is great news that we are going to be working for Thompsons and particularly because we are both based in Sunderland,” said Iain Corner, Office Managing Partner at RSM Tenon.
“We know the way they work, we know the history of the company and we are delighted to be able to help and support them as they move forward.”
Anne Ganley, Managing Director at Thompson Building Centres said the two companies had a long-standing relationship, having worked together previously.
“We are very pleased that RSM Tenon has won this three year contract to work with us again,” she said.
“As a company we are committed to giving work to companies in the area wherever possible and this is an excellent example of that commitment in action.
“Both Thompsons Building Centres and RSM Tenon have a long history in Sunderland and we are all looking forward to working together.”
Thompson Building Centres and its sister company, TAPS plumbers’ merchants, is one the region’s largest independent employers, with sites across the North East and in York.
