Totality GCS scoops Morrisons win
Award-winning graphic design studio, Totality GCS of Leeds, has won a major pre-sales project with Bradford headquartered national supermarket chain, Morrisons.
The team has been tasked with producing approximately 4000 full working, pre-sale, final product packaging mock-ups for the multiple this year.
Tapping into more than 35 years’ experience working with the likes of Unilever, PZ Cussons, Reckitt Benckiser and Symington’s, Totality GCS will provide the pre-sale samples to help Morrisons save time and money during new product development, by helping with the organisation and optimising shelf standout and space.
Chris Turpin, managing director, said: “We’ve built a strong relationship with Morrisons over the past ten years, working across all tiers of design production and we are thrilled to take on the pre-sales packaging process. By replicating the exact structural format of the pack, the correct material and desired finish, any issues are raised before the costly print production.
“Our breadth of knowledge and experience in colour and print skills will be put to use when creating the packaging mock ups for pre-sale models for Morrisons’ basic, core and premium brands.”
The project is part of Morrisons’ wider O2O programme. This is a two-year launch exercise, which has seen the chain transform its packaging from Own Label to Own Brand. The mock-ups allow assessment of the proposed design prior to final implementation stages, reducing time and cost in the NPD process.
As well as pre-sale packaging, Totality GCS specialises in corporate identity, packaging, literature, point of sale and direct mail, working with clients including Lloyds Banking Group, Golden Wonder, Nando’s and Gourmet Burger Kitchen.
