Heritage Healthcare appoints business development manager

Heritage Healthcare, a leading provider of home-based care, has appointed a Business Development Manager as it drives ambitious national expansion plans forward.

Amanda Rowan, who formerly ran her own learning and development consultancy, has been appointed to work with Heritage’s expert management team to develop plans for business growth. She also will support the company’s learning and development function and explore options for diversification and further expansion.

Amanda has substantial experience as a business advisor, working with Business and Enterprise North East, where she provided advice and guidance on all aspects of business development for small to medium sized businesses and companies. As a fluent Spanish speaker, she has also lived in Spain and taught business English to Spanish business managers.

Her appointment follows Heritage’s launch of a franchising division. It is looking for committed, ambitious and motivated people who want to own and develop their own business by tapping into Heritage’s sector knowhow and reputation for providing excellent quality care that enables people to enjoy independent lives in the comfort of their own home.

Glenn Pickersgill, Heritage Healthcare Managing Director, said: “Amanda is a dynamic addition to Heritage Healthcare and perfectly understands our commitment to quality and individual care. She has an outstanding business development background and is ideally placed to help bring our programme of extensive development to fruition. She also is in tune with Heritage’s core values of providing the right staff for customer needs.”

Amanda said: “Heritage Healthcare has a passion for caring which shines through every aspect of the business. It also is a very exciting place to work; it has ambitious plans for growth and development and I am really looking forward to my role in supporting business growth and ensuring more people benefit from the care that Heritage gives.”

Heritage Healthcare arranges for carers to assist people in their own homes with practical and personal tasks. This may be for a short while, after an accident or an illness, or it might be long term due to age, disability or other health problems.

Heritage Healthcare also provides Supported Living services to people with physical disabilities or learning difficulties. This includes helping people go to work, attend a day centre, participate in leisure activities or visit the shops.
