The Marches Local Enterprise Partnership has appointed Midlands PR agencyBe Boldto deliver its communications until 2015 following a competitive pitch.
It is the second time the company has won the LEP PR contract, which sees it delivering a programme of strategic public relations and communications across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin on behalf of the partnership.
Headed by former journalists Mark Waugh and Amy Bould, the agency’s client portfolio covers a range of industry sectors, including FTSE and AIM-listed companies. It has been working with the LEP since its inception in 2011.
Chairman of the Marches LEP, Graham Wynn OBE, said: “There is a reason why Be Bold has a reputation for being a serious force in business communications and public relations - and that’s because it delivers on its promises.
“Amy, Mark and their team have huge experience in successfully providing public and private sector partnership communications in this region, which the agency demonstrated through the LEP’s competitive tender process.
“Be Bold has made an outstanding contribution to raising the profile of the Marches LEP since 2011 and so I’m delighted that we continue to have the agency’s experience and expertise to call on in the future.”
Under the terms of the contract, Be Bold will work closely with the management team at the partnership’s Enterprise Zone in Hereford. This includes developing an international PR campaign aimed at attracting investment in the Zone from defence and security sector companies in the United States, Canada and Europe.
Be Bold director, Amy Bould, said: “The Marches LEP is working hard to develop and revitalise the regional economy and support the creation of sustainable private sector jobs. Already it is delivering on its aims and we are delighted to have played our part in this by ensuring businesses are aware of the opportunities on offer via LEP schemes and funding programmes.
“As a news-focused public relations agency, we are experienced in delivering strategic communications with a business perspective. Following the publication of the Heseltine Report this year, the role of the LEP has widened considerably and we are looking forward to supporting the partnership in its efforts to engage with the business community in the light of this extended remit.”
