Advanced Business Solutions shortlisted for prestigious Business Finance Award

Market leading business applications and services provider, Advanced Business Solutions (Advanced), is a finalist in the Business Finance Awards 2014. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 12 March 2014 at the Royal Garden Hotel in London.

The Business Finance Awards (BFA) recognise providers of software and technology that have delivered significant cost savings and benefits to clients. Advanced has been shortlisted in the Software Product of the Year category for its OpenMobile Expenses app, a new expense claim management application that enables users to record and submit expense claims via their smartphone or tablet.

Businesses can use the application to capture key information, such as the reasons for the expense, the date, amounts, and allows expenses to be easily categorised via a drop down menu. Receipts are captured via the smart mobile device’s camera, and fed in to the claim process. All expenses are automatically checked to ensure adherence to company policies, which can be approved or refused by finance team staff later.

The application, initially designed to run on Apple IOS and Android platforms, works in conjunction with Advanced’s eBIS solution, a workflow management system which is part of the Advanced Business Suite.

Advanced won the Progress Software App Development Challenge for its OpenMobile Expenses app in October, where it was described by judges as an “exceptional” application. The award recognised innovation and creativity, commercial appeal, performance, and overall user experience.
