Fletchers Solicitors Appoints New Head of People

Fletchers Solicitors, one of the UK’s leading clinical negligence and serious injury law firms, has appointed Sara Duxbury as Head of People.

Sara will be responsible for defining and driving Fletchers’ talent, training and HR strategy, and is tasked with leading the talent acquisition and development of employees to continue the company’s growth.

Prior to joining Fletchers Solicitors, Sara worked for ten years in the retail industry. In her last two roles she worked with two major high street names to grow their business through people development.

Sara joins Fletchers from New Look where she was the international learning & development and HR manager for two years. Before that she was the training and development manager for Northern Europe at MANGO.

Having obtained a BSc in Psychology at UCLAN in Preston and a MSc in Occupational Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University, Sara’s experience lends itself well to managing and mentoring employees.

Commenting on her appointment, Sara said: “I’m really looking forward to working with the fantastic team at Fletchers. My team and I will focussing on bringing the best people to work with us, identifying our existing talent and setting the bar high for the training and development of all of our teams. I want Fletchers to be the most recommended firm to work for - from apprenticeships, graduate and trainee placements, to the more senior roles – and I believe we can and will achieve this vision.”

Ed Fletcher, CEO of Fletchers Solicitors, said: “This is a key appointment for Fletchers. Sara is passionate about people development and will work hard to deliver an innovative recruitment and talent management strategy in line with the strategic objectives and growth plans for the business. I am pleased to have her on board.”
