Facelift for historic Leeds events Venue
The Leeds Club, the conference and events venue in one of the City’s most historical and unique premises, has just begun an extensive programme of refurbishment.
The Grade II* Listed venue is responding to a significant increase in demand from businesses and individuals for its building and facilities and has already completed the first phase of the work. Formerly a private members’ club, the venue re-launched last year solely as a conference, wedding and party venue and has since gone from strength to strength. With a new management structure in place, the team plan to launch a new dedicated conference centre in September on the lower ground floor.
Karen Willows, The Leeds Club Marketing Manager, says that the new facelift will be great news for anyone planning on holding their events at the venue. “We have spent considerable money and time on this project this year. We’ve already completed a soft refurb in all the communal areas of the building, and plan on refreshing all our meeting rooms by the end of the year.”
Karen says that the new conference centre in the basement will have a very different feel to the rest of the building. “The rooms on our upper floors all have a very charming, unique and historic feel, which is something we wish to preserve. But the lower ground floor is a different story. It’s contemporary, functional and slick. We’re excited about launching this new corporate meeting space in the Autumn.”
