British Businesses Partner to Launch a Competition to Celebrate Le Grand Depart
In celebration of the world’s greatest cycle race, The Wensleydale Creamery has teamed up with the British based manufacturer Forme Bikes to launch an on-pack promotion, offering customers the opportunity to win one of five bikes from Forme’s Longcliffe series, worth over £1,000 each.
Launching week commencing 5th May 2014, the three month national promotion running in the lead up to and during the famous cycle race will feature on the 200g & 320g packs of Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese, available in participating retailers nationwide.
The partnership sees two British based businesses working together to showcase the best of Britain in celebration of the 2014 Grand Depart visiting the UK. The world’s greatest cycle race will see cyclists come through the Yorkshire Dales market town of Hawes, home of the famous PGI protected Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese on 05th July. The Wensleydale Creamery handcrafts its cheese to a time-honoured recipe, using milk from local family farms to create Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese which is creamy, crumbly and full of flavour.
David Hartley, MD of The Wensleydale Creamery, said: “We’re delighted to have partnered with British based manufacturer for this exciting competition to offer our customers the chance to win a state of the art Forme bike. This is the perfect way for us to celebrate the upcoming excitement of the race visiting the Yorkshire Dales, working with another British business which also shares a passion for quality as do we, here at The Creamery.”
Joe Poyzer, Brand Manager at Forme Bikes, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with The Wensleydale Creamery, providing bikes for their on-pack competition. It is such an honour that the Grand Depart is coming to the UK, so we are delighted to be able to celebrate this exciting event by offering customers the chance to win one of our Longcliffe bikes.”
