Maxwell Hodge shortlisted for business award

Liverpool-based law firm Maxwell Hodge have been shortlisted for Best Legal Firm of the Year 2014 City of Liverpool Business Awards.

Maxwell Hodge solicitors have been shortlisted for the award from a record number of over 350 companies nominated for the available categories.

The awards, which are hosted by Downtown in Business, are a sought after accolade by organisations in every sector and a key fixture in the legal calendar.

Maxwell Hodge has been shortlisted for the award following pioneering success throughout their eight offices across Merseyside over the past year. This nomination comes shortly after the legal firm embarked on a radical restructure at the end of last year to become a ‘dynamic and flexible’ limited company.

The move has given the firm the opportunity to serve clients better by responding quicker to market needs, and be ready to act to grow the business when opportunities arise.

Simon Leyland, Chief Executive Officer at Maxwell Hodge said: “When we first set out to undertake this radical new restructure we had a clear vision of what we wanted to achieve within the company. I am delighted that this vision has been fully recognised in the sector and throughout the region by being shortlisted for Legal Firm of the Year.”

The event will take place in the evening of Thursday 17th July at Sefton Park Palm house. The awards aim to recognise businesses from across the city region that have enjoyed a successful year and also made a significant contribution to the Liverpool economy.

The evening will be hosted by Downtown in Business chief executive Frank McKenna and will also have Major Joe Anderson as the keynote speaker, reflecting on his two years in office and the year ahead. Entertainment will be provided by the iconic Manchester singer/songwriter Rowetta.
