Sheffield startup encourages industrial collaboration and R&D funding

3 month old Sheffield startup IN-PART, a new collaboration platform that provides a hub for university projects and technologies, has already facilitated funded R & D, licensing agreements and academic secondments.

The new start-up launched at the end of January, is currently working with over 15 of the UK’s and Yorkshire’s leading universities, including the University of York, University of Leeds, University of Bradford, University of Bristol, University of Strathclyde, and King’s College London.

Among it’s active company are P&G, Rolls Royce, GE, Siemens, GSK, Pfizer, Dyson and Smith & Nephew.

Working with university business teams, IN-PART promotes their latest research and technology via their interactive online platform to research intensive companies, and the service has had an immediate effect on facilitating innovative research partnerships.

The platform provides an way for companies to strategically seek relevant technologies and collaborative opportunities from UK universities.

Users wanting can then request for more information from the relevant university business team, while also viewing a university capabilities and expertise profile to enable relevant decision making information to be at the fingertips of each company.
