Blackpool accountants Danbro set to double workforce with 17 new jobs already
Award winning Blackpool based accounting solutions company Danbro is planning to double its workforce in the next three to five years.
Group development director Rob Kenmare’s prediction comes as Danbro, which provides specialist accountancy and payroll services to more than 6500 contractors and freelancers across the country, has just welcomed its 150th employee.
Mr Kenmare said: “As we continue to grow to meet demand we expect to have 300 employees within three to five years.
“This is the key driver for our new year move to Jubilee House which will give our staff a great place to work and ensure that they continue to give our clients the great customer service that they expect.”
The business started in a 6’ by 6’ box room of the founders’ family home in Warton in 1999,a far cry from the new look Jubilee House -the former Land Registry at Lytham - which will accommodate the rapidly growing business. In an acknowledgement to their humble beginnings the founders are planning on making some of the office space available to social enterprises, community concerns and start up businesses.
Co-founder Helen Broughton, director of people and standards, who grew up in the area, explains: “We want to give something back to the community,”
Latest signing, client accountant Stuart Clark, 36, of Preston, is the first of a new wave of recruits joining Danbro as it strategically targets new and emerging markets ahead of the transfer to Lytham.
Seventeen new jobs are currently available across a range of services including payroll, accountancy and business support. Virtually all are new positions.
