Chanel comes to Durham in exclusive event
Visitors to Durham will be given a taste of ‘Chanel chic’ this week as one of the world’s most iconic fashion brands comes to the city for an exclusive one-off event.
Chanel is collaborating with Wade Opticians to host a one-off ‘pop up’ boutique on Saturday (5th July) at the optician’s branch in Saddler Street, Durham.
All stock will be replaced by the entire collection of Chanel eyewear and sunglasses for one day only.
Many of the Chanel designs on display will have never been seen outside of Chanel’s flagship boutique store in New Bond Street, London.
Special promotions will be in place and professional hair and make-up artists will be on hand demonstrating and recreating the iconic catwalk look of Chanel.
Kirsty Wade, Creative Director of Wade Opticians, said: “We are very pleased to be welcoming Chanel to Durham for this exclusive one-off event, which is sure to be of interest to anyone interested in fashion in the North-East.
“Chanel is one of our most popular designer brands, so it will be fantastic to be able to showcase their full collection, including limited edition frames and all of the new season stock, for one day only.
“We will be offering free standard single vision lenses in all frames purchased on the day, but this will not just be about glasses and sunglasses.
“People who come along will be able to get Chanel inspired hair and make-up trials.”
