Insurance Broker Launches Landlords Division
An independent insurance broker based in Coventry is launching a new division after recording another strong year of growth.
Inspire Insurance Services, which operates throughout the UK from its base at Mercia Business Village on Westwood Business Park, Canley, is setting up a Landlords Division in its fifth year, having seen a 28 per cent growth in turnover during this current financial year.
The new department will serve both residential and commercial landlords directly as well as provide cover indirectly through lettings agencies and property management companies.
Managing director Leigh Mackey said: “It is an area where we have always had strong expertise, and the number of clients and enquiries from landlords and lettings agents has grown to a level that warranted a standalone division.
“We are already in talks with a number of high-profile lettings agents and property management companies within the area who recognise the benefits of having third party access to a full range of insurance cover for landlords.
“We have enhanced the standard offering among brokers of buildings insurance to include rent guarantee, home emergency and legal protection, which covers repossession, eviction of squatters and claims for property damage.”
The expansion has seen the award-winning company strengthen its senior team with the appointment of Daniel Westlake to head up the new Landlords Division.
Daniel is an experienced commercial broker with more than seven years of experience working within the industry.
He will initially concentrate on developing the new strand of the business within Coventry before extending out into the wider region and ultimately nationally.
Daniel said: “Inspire Insurance Services is recognised for its market-leading vision and the formation of this new division to serve landlords with over and above the standard offering is testament to its innovative approach.
“I am delighted to be taking on this role within the company and look forward to developing relationships with residential and commercial landlords within the region and further afield.”
Leigh added: “The buy-to-let market has been strong for a number of years and our presence in this market has grown dramatically with it, so the creation of a Landlords Division is very much a natural progression.
“We are following a similar format to how the company has expanded within our commercial, private and risk management divisions to date which has been based upon identifying gaps in the market and providing an enhanced product to the standard offering.
“The company has grown by 28 per cent in terms of total turnover during this financial year and now we are looking to keep that momentum going by creating more specialist divisions for niche markets because that is where we come into our own.”
