Uniting Ambition up for Best Marketing Campaign

In further national awards success, Uniting Ambition has been announced a finalist for Global Recruiter’s prestigious “Best Marketing Campaign” award. This accolade comes just one week after the consultancy was also shortlisted for “Best Digital Marketing Campaign” in the 2015 Big Chip Awards.

The Global Recruiter Awards identify the best of the best from the UK recruitment industry according to clear criteria. Each category sets out to record and reward the very best practice in the industry, meaning that each spot as a finalist is highly prized.

Independent from the world of recruitment, the Big Chips are the biggest digital awards outside London and are the longest running in the UK for all things digital: from mobile apps to social media, from animation to websites, from digital brand to cloud software.

“We’re absolutely blown away by the recognition we’re winning, especially from the likes of such significant bodies”, says Richard Turner, Brand Communications Manager at Uniting Ambition. “To get just one award nomination for a business of our size is a substantial achievement – two is amazing!”

The marketing campaign causing such a stir in the industry is “LinkedIn Recruiter Story”, Uniting Ambition’s take on a creative internal recruitment drive. A HTML5 video which integrates with LinkedIn, “LinkedIn Recruiter Story” allows users to sign in via the professional network and view an animated account of their career journey so far. With a unique twist, the video then offers a quirky preview of how lucrative the user’s career could be if they were to come and work for Uniting Ambition.

“Our aim was to create a fun, fresh campaign which was highly personalised to each user”, Richard continues. “Clearly, the notion paid off as we are now celebrating our second national awards nod.

“The Linked Recruiter Story campaign is an industry first: we’re the only recruitment company ever to integrate a personalised internal recruitment video with LinkedIn. Now, this originality has put us in the running for both Big Chip’s campaign of the year and Global Recruiter’s campaign of the year – a truly impressive accomplishment by any standards.
