Blue Logic Digital completes acquisition of Barnsley-based creative agency
Blue Logic Digital, a Leeds-based marketing agency, has acquired creative agency Crazy Horse Creative to expand its current service offering.
With the acquisition of the Barnsley-based creative agency, Blue Logic Digital will now be able to add additional brand development and creative design services to its portfolio, enabling the firm to provide full-service digital marketing solutions for clients.
Rich Meads, who owned Crazy Horse Creative prior to the acquisition, will take on the role of head of creative at Blue Logic Digital. Joining him will be Beth French, who is taking the position of a creative designer at the agency.
Blue Logic Digital hopes to see a 50% growth in turnover this year, and, following the acquisition, it now boasts a team of 10. The firm expects to take on another four staff over the coming months as it focuses on growing its development and search marketing teams.
Its parent company, Blue Logic, was established in 2007 as an IT support and network solutions firm. It employs 66 staff and achieved a turnover of £5.8m in 2014.
Roy Moody, director of Blue Logic Digital, said: “We’ve been looking to grow our creative offering for some time, as our services have traditionally focused on the more technical aspects of web and app development and SEO.
“We have worked with Crazy Horse Creative on several projects and have always been really impressed with the team’s diverse range of creative skills, so we decided to approach them about joining forces.
“The acquisition will enable us to offer a full suite of creative services to clients and allow us to pitch for more creative projects going forward, which is an integral part of our growth plan.”
Rich Meads added: “Client’s increasingly want to deal with one agency for all their design and digital marketing needs, so when Roy approached us, we could see the huge benefits for both businesses and decided to become part of Blue Logic Digital.”
