Video market boom leads to training demand

VideoKnowHow, the training arm of film production agency Be Inspired Films, says it expects its forthcoming one-day courses to be a hit amongst professional marketers as the popularity of video marketing swells.

With Facebook, Twitter, Google and other leading online platforms investing heavily in video, the scope for video messaging is spanning far beyond YouTube. It’s been shown that consumers are receptive to video marketing embedded in both email and on websites – and they are a very effective way to put a human face to a brand.

VideoKnowHow’s hands-on courses will take place on July 13th in London and July 14th in Birmingham. The morning session will focus on equipment, planning a shoot and the dos and don’ts of scripting, filming, lighting and recording sound, while the afternoon will be spent filming and editing. Each student or team will leave at the end of the day with a finished video and the knowhow to make more, in house and on budget.

Ravinol Chambers, founder of the multi award-winning production company, explains that the VideoKnowHow courses were a natural extension of the film and animation work of Be Inspired Films.

“We work primarily with charities, government-funded organisations and CSR departments – essentially, helping amazing people doing exciting things in the world to tell their stories,” he says.

“Unfortunately, not everyone who wants to work with us can pay for professional marketing so we wanted to offer them an affordable alternative in the form of VideoKnowHow training. By learning practical knowledge, they can make their own marketing videos to suit their timeframe and budget.”

Attendees of previous VideoKnowHow courses include representatives of the NHS, the National Trust and Virgin Trains.
