Primitive Angel are based in Stockton-on-Tees and offer personalised gifts for people of all ages; some of their gifts include home décor, engagement, wedding and christening gifts both online and in their store. Surge Marketing Solutions were already aware that this client had an e-commerce website, however, Primitive Angel had limited access so they were unable to add new stock, change item descriptions. Once the client contacted Surge they explained other options they wanted on their new site too. This included a booking system so customers of the company could book into the workshops; they also wanted MailChimp integration, so email campaigns, discounts and promotions could be cross-sold across the website.
The first step for Surge Marketing Solutions was to train the staff at Primitive Angel on how to add new products and other functions to their website such as different shipping methods and they even added a blog section. After the basics were shown to the client, Surge then integrated MailChimp into the website so that customers could enter their email into the mailing list once on the site to be kept up-to-date with special offers and promotions. Other functions which were added to the site by Surge included a booking calendar, contact form and an area where users could create and view their account as opposed to a direct checkout system.
