North East Digital Marketer becomes Plus Size Model
A Digital Marketer from Newcastle based design agency, Urban River, has been chosen to feature in October’s issue of Cosmopolitan magazine as a plus sized model, in association with Evans Clothing.
Sophie Hardy, 24, was approached to feature alongside 2 other female readers in October’s ‘Curve Edit’ of Cosmo magazine, which communicates the message that plus size women are successful and stylish.
The magazine journalist graduate said: “It was a dream come true for me when I received the phone call that I’d been selected to take part in Cosmo’s latest campaign”.
“I’ve been reading Cosmo for as long as I can remember, so to be recognised as a successful and stylish reader is a great personal achievement. I’m also hoping this opportunity will highlight that there is more to being ‘beautiful’ than looks alone – it’s all about how you feel on the inside and how that comes across”.
“My colleagues at Urban River have all been extremely supportive of this exciting opportunity, and it’s also been a great platform to showcase women in the digital industry”.
Sophie joined the South Shields based web design agency, Urban River in June 2015, and is leading on the company’s marketing, PR, SEO and copywriting strategies.
She added: “It’s early days but I’m really excited about my future at Urban River. They are a company with a solid reputation for creating great concepts for clients, and I’m looking forward to being a part of that process and adding value for the company and clients at this exciting time”.
The Curve Edit issue of Cosmopolitan will be available to purchase from all leading newsagents from September 1st.
