New team needed to deliver £19.2m heritage project
One of the most significant transformation projects in the UK, The Piece Hall, Halifax, is making major developments towards the opening of the Grade I* Listed building in 2016, with a recruitment drive to fill five key senior posts.
Applications are being accepted for talented and knowledgeable individuals to fill the roles of operations director, finance director, head of events, head of development & fundraising and head of marketing & communications, for The Piece Hall Trust, which aims to transform the iconic structure into a world class tourist destination.
Chief executive Sam Mason, who was appointed by the Trust in June, will oversee the recruitment of the new roles that play a vital role in the development of The Piece Hall Trust, a charitable organisation set up to manage and sustain the future of Piece Hall in Halifax, for local, national and international visitors.
Sam Mason commented: “It is hugely exciting to be launching our recruitment with these first senior posts. The post-holders will be key, not only in leading The Piece Hall once it opens its doors again next summer, but also in shaping the whole of the organisation they work for. The Piece Hall will be the most significant heritage and visitor attraction in the UK to open in 2016 and it will be an extraordinary place to work.
“We are looking for very ambitious, enthusiastic and experienced people who really want to make a difference, who can rise to the challenge and make a massive contribution to the exceptionally exciting vision that we have for The Piece Hall, Halifax and the North of England.”
The £19.2m renovation of The Piece Hall, which is now well underway, features the transformation and restoration of the monumental structure and courtyard into a modern heritage, business, leisure and cultural destination; with a state-of-the-art interpretation and learning centre, a new east extension and a re-designed piazza.
