Albany Assistance Shortlisted for 2 NECC Awards

Peterlee claims management firm, Albany Assistance has been shortlisted for two awards at the upcoming 2015 North East Contact Centre Awards.

The prestigious awards recognise the achievements of contact centre businesses across the North East, and showcase the companies who are dedicated to achieving excellence amongst their staff, customers and community alike.

In their first year of entering, Albany Assistance has been shortlisted for the ultimate prize - Crowning Glory Award, Contact Centre of the Year (over 250 seats) against More Than and Fusion Contact Centres. They are also up for an individual award with Head of Customer Experience, Lisa Turnedge’s nomination for the Customer Experience Champion.

This announcement comes during a year of successes at Albany Assistance, with recent new business wins with companies such as Hastings Direct, their online customer portal winning at the 2015 IT Europa Software Excellence Awards and their customer satisfaction levels beating the national average by over 3%.

This success has also seen Albany investing heavily in the recruitment of new talent as the business grows, with an ongoing recruitment campaign to expand their workforce across a wide variety of roles, from customer service advisors to IT positions.

Reflecting on the nominations Susan Howe, Operations Director said: “Although our entries were submitted by individuals, the content was based upon the hard work and achievements of everyone in the Albany Assistance, so I would like to say a big thank you to all those who helped us get this far on our first attempt. We hope that these nominations will showcase the strengths of our organisation, and also attract new talent to join our customer focused team.”

The winners will be announced at the ‘Best of British’ awards ceremony and gala dinner at the Ramside Hall Hotel on Friday, November 20. The event is sponsored by Sage Plc and is organised by Sunderland Live on behalf of Sunderland City Council.

The North East Contact Centre Awards are now celebrating its 12th anniversary with a team of esteemed judges spanning from marketing experts to contact centre professionals to freelance journalists who each bring their own wealth of knowledge to the panel. Alongside the impressive array of judges, the awards have an extensive list of sponsors headlined by Sage Plc including; CCP Ltd, Forfusion, Make It Sunderland and NRG.
