London’s Lion Creative roaring forward with RBS deal
London-based creative agency Lion Creative has secured funding from Royal Bank of Scotland and RBS Invoice Finance, to assist its expansion strategy.
Agreeing a refinancing deal with RBS, the funding deal includes loan and working capital facilities to also support day to day cash flow management. Coupled with new contract wins, Director Richard Gower believes exciting times lie ahead for the 35 year old agency, run alongside colleagues Sean Thompson and Natasha Goldring.
Richard said: “Sean, Natasha and I are all thrilled with the success we are achieving at Lion Creative. We work in a very competitive industry but are holding our own and are delighted to work with some of the leading consumer and retail brands on their creative and design strategies.”
The firm, which operates from Uxbridge Road in Middlesex, now employs 15 people and has announced its intention to expand the team, with plans to recruit two new roles.
Richard continued: “We’ve won some large new accounts recently and this has had a massive impact on our expansion plans and as a result we are recruiting two new staff.
“We are all extremely passionate about our work and really enjoy working with our clients. With regards to our financial arrangements we were looking to switch our banking facilities to bring everything under one umbrella.
He added: “It was very important for us to work with a team that would take the time to understand our business and support us. We interviewed three banks and chose Royal Bank of Scotland mainly because Pritesh Lad and Paul Rice conveyed confidence in their services and also in us.
Paul Rice RBS Invoice Finance, said: “Lion Studios has an impressive client base and are enjoying strong growth in a sector which can be challenging. The working capital facility works well alongside the loan to provide funds to support day to day cash flow needs and the agency’s expansion strategy.”
Pritesh Lad, Royal Bank of Scotland, added: “I worked closely with Richard, Natasha and Sean to really understand their business objectives so that we could provide the right funding support. As a result we have established a great working relationship as well as a tailored funding solution.”
