The Mothership Group launches app for independent retailers
Liverpool-based company The Mothership Group is excited to announce the launch of an app that helps independent retailers drive sales and lift profits. My Perfect Shop is a free app available on both IOS and Android devices. Launched in October 2015, the app influences retailers into making better choices about the products they offer to their local community and empowers them through a multi-supplier reward scheme. Dave Harker, Director of The Mothership Group, who spearheaded the development of My Perfect Shop, said: “Our aim is to help the independent retailer to be even more successful with incentives from leading brands that help them to stock and merchandise the right products, in the right way. “We’re absolutely delighted with how well the app and website has been received so far by both the retailers and leading brands such as The Weetabix Food Company, KETTLE® Chips, Birds Eye and Burtons Biscuit Company.”
Darryl Burgess of Weetabix confirmed: “We at Weetabix are keen to explore new approaches to helping our customers ensure they stock the right range of products and merchandise them most effectively. “This initiative is good for shoppers, retailers, wholesalers and suppliers, and we are excited to see it drive sales for all.”
The My Perfect Shop app also provides independent retailers a voice on Twitter via the Mothership Communities, allowing the storeowner to reach out to local consumers on social media.
Lorna Davidson, CEO of The Mothership Group, said: “The Mothership Group is going from strength to strength, with three of the original start-ups still in operation today. We’re very excited about the My Perfect Shop concept that’s utilising digital technology to help open up a direct dialogue between the big retail brands and independent retailers.
“Our unique cost-effective tool enables the brands to talk directly to the current 50,000 local convenience store owners in the UK, which eradicates the time and cost needed for individual store visits.”
