Paragon UK announces £3m investment in Digital Print Technology.

Document and Marketing solutions provider Paragon Group has announced a £3m investment into its UK business infrastructure with the purchase of several new wide format printers and 41 Xerox small format printers throughout its UK branches.

The international Group which is present in 12 countries has injected over £3million into its UK nationwide printing outfits in the past six months, including the purchase and installation of a HP Indigo 7800 Digital Press, 41 Fogra certified Xerox Versant small format printers and two Arizona Flatbed Printers. The equipment has been installed throughout the UK, giving a strong indication of the company’s commitment to digital print.

Paragon’s latest HP Indigo Press, was installed at the firm’s Service Point Birmingham production facility in late 2015, with the technology expected to increase quality levels and volume capabilities, allowing Paragon Group to produce cost effective and high quality service for its extensive customer database. Incorporating one shot colour technology, colour automation and smart scheduling, the installation of the HP Indigo 7800 has already increased outputs and has helped the company meet the growing demands for varying formats from customers.

Tom Harrison, Sales Director at Paragon UK comments: “This large investment in new kit highlights our commitment to Service Point and the whole of the Paragon Group. We are dedicated to driving the businesses forward, which can only be achieved by investing in the best in class equipment.

He adds: “This investment not only signals our determination to grow our presence in the marketplace, but also adds to our current capacity and means that we can meet with increasing demands from our clients.”

In 2014, the Document and Marketing solutions Group acquired POS and Document specialist Service Point. The deal gave Paragon Group the opportunity to offer localised services nationwide. Thanks partly to this deal and several other key investments, the Sunderland-headquartered business has since seen turnover rise from £125.6m to £222.1m in the year ended June 30, 2015.
