Liverpool FC sign new deal to target Chinese fanbase
In a move to boost engagement with fans in China, Liverpool FC have signed a new partnership with MG Auto, the Chinese automotive company.
According to SportsPro, the 18-month deal will run until the end of the 2016/17 season and see MG Auto promoting itself as the club’s official Chinese automotive partner.
The agreement will also see Reds captain Jordan Henderson, along with midfielders Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana, feature in a TV advert for the company next year.
MG has plans to celebrate the partnership further with the launch of the MG GS, an LFC-themed vehicle.
The deal follows on from another signed earlier this month, in which Liverpool announced their new official coconut water partner.
