Leading North East Door Manufacturer Launches Refreshed Brand
John Watson, a leading supplier of doorsets, screens and ironmongery to the UK construction industry, based in Hartlepool, Co Durham has launched a full brand refresh campaign featuring a new company logo and tagline (High Performance Doorsets) visual identity and brand positioning. The refreshed branding supports John Watson’s philosophy to provide customers with outstanding quality products, supported by excellent levels of customer service from their experienced team.
Since the company launched in 1973 it has seen a shift in its core business offering from supplying timber windows, doorsets and conservatories to the domestic market in the North East to becoming one of the UK’s leading suppliers of high performance doorsets to construction projects within the commercial, residential and social housing sectors.
This is reflected in the fresh and contemporary new company logo and subtle name change from John Watson Joinery to John Watson (High Performance Doorsets). The company is one of the oldest Secured by Design accredited manufacturers in the UK offering an extensive range of internal and external doorsets which are fully certified to meet fire, acoustic and SBD requirements.
New marketing collateral has been launched across the board including a product brochure highlighting John Watson’s full range of internal and external doorsets and glazed screens. This is also reflected within the new website alongside a project library which showcases recent national projects in the commercial, residential and student accommodation sectors.

Throughout its business life the company has maintained a ‘modernise to maximise’ ethos at all times. Strong focussed leadership combined with a highly experienced sales team has produced the required results on expansion. The company also continues to invest in IT and the latest manufacturing equipment as a priority.
