Tech startup Korubu launches in Manchester
A team of marketing and software specialists based in Manchester has launched Korubu, a new tech startup encouraging businesses to capitalise on customer data and social media interaction.
Korubu’s core software, developed by the minds behind telecoms firm Beehive Telecom, will allow companies to turn their free-to-use customer wi-fi into a tool for collecting potentially valuable information.
At Korubu-enabled venues, customers will log in using either their phone number, social media account or email address. Further, businesses have the option of prompting customers to ‘like’ their Facebook page or subscribe to their mailing list.
The firm’s managing director, Chris Xavier, said: “Korubu will change the way businesses interact with and market to their customers.
“Our marketing and analytics tools enable venues to have a better interpretation of their customers and their behaviour, which in turn means they can respond to their customer base with more intelligent and targeted marketing.”
